Clicking the Reports icon
from the main or condensed
view page displays the reports page (rep.html).
This page contains the requirements for the calculation of the availability
reports. You can enter the starting and ending dates of the report and
which historical logs to show in the individual availability reports.
Click Generate
Report to generate the report. Big Brother will display the
list of host.service
entries as it is calculating the results. When all calculations are done,
an HTML page similar to the main page is displayed, except that the colored
dots have been replaced by % values.
The values are displayed with the color range they represent. If availability is over 99.95%, the report will show a green dot for that entry. If it is less than that but higher than the BBREPWARN value in bbdef-server.sh then the value is shown in yellow. If the value is below BBREPWARN then the value is shown in red.
You can click any of the values to display that dot's individual availability report with the list of logs that matched the type of log requested in the original report request. You can view each error log by following its link in the logs table displayed in the report status. You can also view a text-based report by clicking on the Click here for text-based availability report link.
If an individual availability report says the status's historical data is corrupted, look at the most recent www/rep/REP.99999 file. This file contains the historical file name and the line number where a problem may lie.
