The are times that for a given server, notifications for that server or for services of that server must be turned off. An example is a hardware upgrade or a software update.
You can define periods where notifications for a host or many hosts by accessing the enable/disable management page.

Display the main Big Brother page. |

Click the enable/disable button in the "to enable and disable notifications" section of the management page. |

On the enable/disable management screen enter the request parameter in the required fields. Then click send request. |
You select the mode, one or multiple hosts, one or multiple services then you define the duration of the request if it's a disabling request. You can also enter an optional messages and the management code is required if a code has been defined in the etc/enadiscode file on the BB server. Note that if the BBDISPLAY and BBPAGER reside on two different servers then the code must be defined on both servers. You may forego the use of the management code to provide backward compatibility with previous versions of BBPE but it is strongly suggested to use a code.
