O u t s o u r c i n g  Companies in the outsourcing business need to pay special attention to licensing for Big Brother. Clause 2 of our Better than Free license makes it clear that if you're using Big Brother for the purpose of directly generating revenue or in support of activity that generates revenue, then a commercial license is required. In the case where you take over a site where Big Brother is already installed, these previously installed copies of Big Brother are considered grandfathered and as long as the software is not modified or upgraded you don't need to purchase a commercial license. However, you will need to purchase commercial licenses for any new or upgraded copies of Big Brother you install.
